2nd Shift - Forklift Driver (Starting Pay $17-$18)
Position Summary
The Forklift Driver operates a sit-down forklift to load and unload truck deliveries, as well as to move material to and from storage locations in the distribution center. The Forklift Driver also assists in other areas of the greenhouse when needed. This is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload product from delivery trucks
- Transport materials to different locations within the facility
- Constant movement of material on pallets throughout the greenhouse
- Stack product in the correct locations, following inventory control instructions
- Update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks
- Assist other departments as needed
- Assist with soil production
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-3 years' forklift experience
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Proficient in operating technical machinery and RF scanners
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior inventory experience
- Computer experience is a plus
Job Setting & Physical Demands
This position is primarily in a covered area, but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to operating the forklift. Employee must have the ability to lift 35 pounds unaided, 50 pounds with assistance. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, however overtime and weekend work is required during peak seasons.
