1st Shift - Forklift Driver (Starting Pay $17-$18)

This position is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the role

The Forklift Driver operates a sit-down forklift to load and unload truck deliveries, as well as to move material to and from storage locations in the distribution center. The Forklift Driver also assists in other areas of the greenhouse when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product from delivery trucks
• Transport materials to different locations within the facility
• Constant movement of material on pallets throughout the greenhouse
• Stack product in the correct locations, following inventory control instructions
• Update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks
• Assist other departments as needed
• Assist with soil production
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• 2-3 years’ forklift experience
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
• Proficient in operating technical machinery and RF scanners
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language
• Ability to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens
• Long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing, and twisting on a regular basis
• Ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including forklifts
• Ability to lift 35 pounds unaided, 50 pounds with assistance

Schedule

The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, however overtime and weekend work is required during peak seasons.
