About the role

This role involves setting up, loading, unloading, or warehousing product or supplies using a forklift. You will operate a forklift in narrow aisles, safely transport materials to and from production equipment, and may also operate a pallet jack. The position requires maintaining warehouse accuracy, production reporting, and inventories of both product and supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to load, unload, and warehouse product or supplies in narrow aisles.
  • Safely transport materials to and from production equipment locations.
  • Operate a pallet jack as needed.
  • Maintain warehouse and transaction accuracy, including production reporting and inventories.
  • Use SAP for data entry on forklift computer terminals, handhelds, and desktop computers.
  • Keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Assist in collecting quality control samples and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Conduct safety inspections of forklifts before use and complete safety inspection forms each shift.
  • Qualify as a forklift operator by passing a medical exam, written, and practical exams.
  • Perform repetitious loading and unloading of ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of standard safety and operation procedures for lift trucks.
  • Work at alternate facility locations in Logan or on weekends (Saturday or Sunday).li>
  • Work other shifts as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, including occasional janitorial duties (sweeping, mopping, etc.).
  • Comply with all site and equipment safety and quality good manufacturing practices guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.

Pay

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $22.65. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
