Safety Protocols and Compliance
This role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate power equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, standing reach trucks) according to Saks Global standards.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting various departments as needed.
- Master departmental processes relevant to your assigned area to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and communicate vendor or processing issues to supervisors, managers, coordinators, or leads.
- Verify accuracy according to SOPs, record discrepancies, and communicate any concerns.
- Flex into different roles within the warehouse as directed by the management team.
- Be available for overtime as needed, especially during peak business periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating power equipment in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to complete and pass powered equipment training per Saks Global guidelines.
- Ability and willingness to work across multiple departments and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Reasonable accommodations may be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Occasional bending, stooping, or kneeling may be required.
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12-hour shifts, apart from scheduled breaks.
- Depending on the work area, use of stairs may be necessary.
