The Role

This position will report to the: Supervisor
Travel Requirement: None
Location: Bakersfield, CA
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm)

What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role

  • Assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant.
  • Cooking and cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and log equipment values and parameters to include temperature and pressure gauges, indicators, and meters.
  • Track correct materials for all production requirements.
  • Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing.
  • Complete changeovers, CIP’s, PMs, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed.
  • Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as required.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.
  • Maintain activity logs.
  • Train new personnel on proper operational procedures.
  • Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs.
  • Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven, reliable work history.

Additional Required Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions.
  • Proven experience operating machinery.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automated machines and tools.
  • Experience conducting quality tests and analyzing data.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One to two years’ experience as an Equipment Operator in a similar production environment preferred.
  • Forklift certification.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work in freezer and cold, wet or humid conditions.

Hours & Workdays

2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory.
