2nd shift CNC Mill Turn Operator

About the Role

Our client, a growing precise CNC manufacturer for industries including Aerospace and Medical Device, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CNC Mill Turn Operator for their 2nd shift. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team, with every Friday as a half day.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and translate instructions into computer commands.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products using precision tools like micrometers and calipers.
• Supervise machines, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot machine-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including wearing protective equipment and maintaining a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Mill Turn Operator or similar role in the engineering industry.
• Proven experience with 5 Axis, Lathe, Calipers, Micrometers, Tool And Die, Mastercam, CMM, and Tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy items and work overtime if necessary.

Schedule

2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 11:30 pm (9-hour days with every Friday a half day)

Pay

$20 - $29 per hour + $4 per hour shift differential
