CNC Operator Mill/Turn, 2nd Shift

The CNC Operator B operates assigned CNC Mill/Turn machines to produce parts that meet the dimensional specifications of mechanical engineered drawings. This includes conducting basic machine changeovers, accurately completing quality control documentation, and inspection sheets. This individual collaborates with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Measures, inspects, loads/unloads parts from CNC machines
- Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed and as instructed
- Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets
- Inspects product in accordance with verbal and/or written instructions such as part drawings, traveler, work instructions, and process specifications
- Embraces good manufacturing practices and inspection techniques daily; follows all SOPs and safety regulations
- Adheres to company Code of Conduct, AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations through training and knowledge maintenance
- Represents the company professionally and upholds ethical business practices in all interactions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Able to perform visual inspection with the use of a microscope on small parts; strong attention to detail
- Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas (a plus)
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision; well-organized and able to multi-task
- Team player, open to new ideas, self-motivated, and willing to continually increase personal knowledge and value
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands
- Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to adjust focus
