MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are essential in shaping the educational experiences of students and supporting school communities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned subject areas and grade levels.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school leadership (e.g., committee work, extracurricular supervision).
Requirements
- Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for alternative certification (e.g., through MASSP or MISTAFF programs).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to diverse classroom settings and student needs.
