2nd & 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing both mechanical and electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across production equipment and facility systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Maintenance personnel ensure all machinery, equipment, and facility systems are maintained in proper working order to support safe, efficient, and continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes to minimize downtime
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and perform urgent repairs as needed
- Install, modify, and fabricate equipment components and replacement parts
- Support equipment upgrades, machine installations, and continuous improvement projects
- Complete facility maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Maintain the appearance and condition of the facility through housekeeping and groundskeeping activities
- Prioritize and complete work orders based on operational needs
- Manage maintenance inventory and coordinate with vendors for parts and supplies
- Absorb and train employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and basic maintenance practices
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of motors, drives, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, wiring, control panels, sensors, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, mills, and welding equipment
- Ability to work safely in a production environment with moving machinery and equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as business needs require
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a constant state of alertness in a safety-sensitive position
Pay
- Mechanical Maintenance Technician: $33.00 – $38.00 per hour
- Electrical Maintenance Technician: $38.00 – $46.00 per hour
