About the role
The Army National Guard Paralegal Specialist assists judges, Army lawyers, and unit commanders with legal matters and judicial work. This role involves providing legal and administrative support in various areas including family law, international law, contract law, defense legal services, and judicial legal services.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal documents in courts-martial and other military justice matters
- Assist in legal affairs such as power of attorney, wills, and separation decrees
- Maintain law/administrative library
- Monitor and review actions for accuracy
- Interview witnesses
- Research court decisions and Army regulations
- Process legal claims and appeals
- Prepare records of hearings, investigations, courts-martial, and courts of inquiry
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- At least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma/GED certificate
- Between the ages of 17 and 35
- Pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)

Qualifications
