About the role

The Special Projects Technician, Operations Department (Custodial & Grounds and Operations) Pool position at Visalia Unified School District is responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of school facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of school grounds and facilities.
  • Perform custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing classrooms and common areas.
  • Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma / Transcript showing date of graduation / GED / Higher Degree)
  • Typing Certificate (Certificate dated within one year showing 50 words per minute or more. Online certificates are not acceptable.)
