About the role

12‑month fixed‑term, part‑time (0.9 WTE, Band 8A) Clinical Psychologist post in NHS Lothian’s Learning Disabilities Psychology Service. Two posts are available. Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical psychology input across community and inpatient tiers of the service.
• Allocate 6.5 sessions per week to representing clinical psychology within the North West and North East Edinburgh Community Learning Disability Teams.
• Allocate 2.5 sessions per week to providing clinical psychology input to the William Fraser Centre inpatient unit at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
• Develop and consolidate skills in supervision, teaching, and consultation.
• Deliver specialist assessment and intervention for people with learning disabilities presenting with a wide range of difficulties.
• Provide clinical supervision to pre‑qualified psychology team members.
