Apply Description
Repairs and maintains tanks, platforms, purge pipes, brine/air lines and other carpentry/plumbing duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Completes partial/full teardowns and rebuilds of platforms (decking, support structure, stairs, etc.)
- Prefabricates components for platforms and structures as needed
- Repairs tanks using fiberglass patching/resin
- Installs and repairs test boxes/purge pipes/blower pipes for fiberglass tanks
- Installs/repairs/maintains tubing and purge diffuser stones for the purge pipes
- Drills drain holes and installs plugs and header brackets for fiberglass tanks
- Buils and repairs portable heads for fiberglass tanks
- Makes repairs to pallet boxes, catwalks, steps, platforms, and other carpentry repairs
- Makes repairs to air lines, brine lines, air valves, brine valves and other minor plumbing repairs
- Maintains clean working areas
- Operates forklift for material handling
- Works in a variety of abnormal positions including working from ladders, working in a cramped position, etc.
- Lifts up to 50 pounds
Requirements
- Certified forklift operator required
- High school graduate with additional training preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English required
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions needed for job tasks
- Must have the ability to follow directions and complete special tasks or projects as instructed by management
