About the role
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company are in a joint consortium to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will serve as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor, responsible for delivering a successful project. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how data is transformed into actionable insights across every aspect of project delivery on one of the largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe.
As Sr. Analyst, Databricks and Reporting, you will join a dynamic Project Information Management team, working closely with leaders and subject matter experts across Safety, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, Project Controls, and Commissioning & Startup. You will help deliver reporting, analytics, and data solutions that support this landmark nuclear construction project, building enterprise-scale analytics capabilities and influencing project outcomes through data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence environments aligned with project execution objectives.
- Lead data engineering initiatives and develop scalable data pipelines, integrations, and enterprise reporting platforms using Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud-based platforms.
- Develop and maintain the Project's Common Data Environment (CDE) as the single source of truth for project information.
- Leverage Power BI, SQL, Python, Spark, Databricks notebooks, data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and large-scale data processing for reporting and analytics.
- Implement Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, or advanced analytics tools to improve reporting, automation, forecasting, or knowledge management.
- Engage with leadership and subject matter experts to develop analytics strategies and translate technical findings into practical business insights.
- Develop and visualize KPIs, trends, forecasts, and operational intelligence using Power BI or similar platforms.
- Apply knowledge of DAX, data warehousing principles, master data management, and data governance practices.
- Understand EPC project execution processes and associated data ecosystems (engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, quality, safety, and commercial).
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage competing priorities while providing strategic direction and technical leadership across multiple initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and at least 8 years of professional experience, or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 12 years of professional experience.
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Residence status.
- Ability to pass nuclear security screening requirements and obtain/maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power facility.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment, education, and travel.
Skills
- 3+ years of experience extracting data from business/technical systems and presenting actionable information for decision-making.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks for data management, analytics, transformation, and reporting; knowledge of medallion architecture.
- 2+ years of experience leveraging AI, ML, Generative AI, or advanced analytical tools to enhance reporting, automate workflows, or improve data quality.
- 3+ years of experience leading analytics initiatives, designing/deploying reports, and interpreting results for stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, MS PowerApps, and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to execute queries on databases and business/technical systems to generate reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Ability to adapt to changing work schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Databricks Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Power BI, or Azure AI.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI-assisted search, or predictive analytics.
- Experience implementing advanced analytics, forecasting models, anomaly detection, or intelligent automation in large project environments.
- Experience supporting Common Data Environments (CDE), Project Information Models, Digital Twins, or enterprise project reporting ecosystems.
Pay
$123,400 - $178,500 annually. Salary range is based on market data; final salary offered is determined by education, experience, and qualifications.
