The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a full-time Elementary Specialist at Arlington Heights and Carriage Elementary schools.
About the role
This position is open until filled and accepting applications. It screens applicants weekly and applications should be submitted no later than midnight on Sundays to be considered for the week. The position involves working 6 hours per day, Monday through Wednesday at Arlington and Thursday and Friday at Carriage Elementary.
Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation of the district’s educational goals and objectives
- Assists in the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies
- Maintains accurate records and reports
- Collaborates with other staff members to provide a supportive learning environment
- Participates in professional development activities
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential
- Experience in elementary education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education or related field preferred
- Experience with special education students
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $126,000 annually. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, the maximum incoming placement is Column 4/Step 11.
The length of the work year for teachers (elementary/secondary), middle school, and K-8 counselors/teacher librarians is 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week, with a professional work day.
