About the role
We are looking for a compassionate, organized and student-focused Operations Support Staff to join our team! You’ll work collaboratively with your colleagues to support the school site in a variety of ways. The Director of School Operations will communicate which roles you own and when each should be completed.

Responsibilities
General Support
- Attend on-campus trainings to prepare for roles and stay informed of school priorities and needs
- Communicate absence to Director of School Operations and support with sub arrangements when possible/necessary
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of School Operations
Lunch & Recess Support
In the cafeteria:
- Circulate the cafeteria making sure students have everything they need and are complying with Caliber School rules and procedures
- Assist in or lead the dismissal process
On the play yard:
- Assist in resolving minor student conflicts
- Ensure students are following the playground school rules and procedures
- Monitor students in restrooms
- Lead particular games (training on this will be provided)
- Collect equipment left in playground areas by students
- Oversee the distribution and collection of recess equipment
Print Management
- Receive print jobs via email from staff and fulfill their orders, often within a 24-hour period
- Check printed orders for completion and quality ensuring there are no errors in the print job
- Fix paper jams in the printer or request tech support when the printer is not working or a jam cannot be easily fixed
- Complete orders that contain: color printing, black and white printing, posters, booklets, other miscellaneous classroom resources, laminating, and book binding
- Return completed orders to staff mailboxes
Library Assistance
- Check in books that were returned the previous day
- Reshelve books on a daily basis
- Walk students to library and back to classrooms
- Support students to check out books that are at their independent reading level as determined by the teacher (this is about 1-2 letters lower than the instructional level you use in guided reading)
- Manage around six students in the library for 15 minutes while they select, check-out and return books
- Assist with check out of books
- Label newly acquired books (as needed)
- Prepare, print and distribute overdue notices (as needed)
- Remind students and teachers that all books must stay at school and in a safe place in the classroom
- Monitor check-out times and hold students accountable for returning books after two weeks or renewing once
Office Support
- Filing
- Answering phones
- Data entry
- Helping families or visitors in front office
- Ad hoc items as needed
Working Conditions
This job operates in a school/classroom environment. - This position classification involves sitting with some walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Staff may be required to lift, pull or push objects approximately 50 pounds or less
- The employee will encounter exposure to ill students
- The position requires mobility to climb, kneel, stoop, crawl, reach and bend, and accurate perceiving of sound; near and far vision with the ability to read small print; depth dexterity; and the providing of oral information and direction
- The position is primarily located at a school site with outside supervision and some district office visits
- The employee will frequently work independently with high work volume and tight deadlines
Qualifications
- Prior work in a school setting preferred
- Live Scan and TB Test required
- Volunteer Registration form required

$21.50/hour
