26-27 Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

About the role

The Jefferson City Public Schools is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students with behavior and learning challenges across various schools and educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the development and implementation of behavior support programs and best practices.
• Create and assist in the development of behavior plans, ABA programs, and other appropriate programs for students.
• Provide support and professional learning for staff working with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors.
• Conduct functional assessments of behavior and develop positive behavior support plans using evidence-based interventions.
• Present behavioral assessment results to parents and school teams and train staff on positive behavior support plans.
• Facilitate team meetings to design Behavior Intervention Plans, address classroom organization, and implement interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, social workers, counselors, and parents to promote positive student behavior.
• Engage in professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in positive student behavior support.
• Monitor student data and adjust programming as needed.
• Create individualized goals for programs based on assessments and treatment plans.
• Comply with FERPA and confidentiality laws.

Requirements

• Knowledge of ABA and function-based intervention planning.
• Expertise in conducting functional behavior assessments and implementing behavior intervention plans.
• Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instruction.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities.
