About the role
The Jefferson City Public Schools is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students with behavior and learning challenges across various schools and educational settings.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee the development and implementation of behavior support programs and best practices.
- Create and assist in the development of behavior plans, ABA programs, and other appropriate programs for students.
- Provide support and professional learning for staff working with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors.
- Conduct functional assessments of behavior and develop positive behavior support plans using evidence-based interventions.
- Present behavioral assessment results to parents and school teams and train staff on positive behavior support plans.
- Facilitate team meetings to design Behavior Intervention Plans, address classroom organization, and implement interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, social workers, counselors, and parents to promote positive student behavior.
- Engage in professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in positive student behavior support.
- Monitor student data and adjust programming as needed.
- Create individualized goals for programs based on assessments and treatment plans.
- Comply with FERPA and confidentiality laws.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ABA and function-based intervention planning.
- Expertise in conducting functional behavior assessments and implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities.
