26-27 Afterschool Snack Program Coordinator

Position Summary

The Afterschool Snack Program Coordinator is responsible for the distribution and service of nutritious snacks to high school students.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Pick up snacks from the Somerville High School kitchen
• Serve snacks to students
• Tally the total amount of snacks distributed to students each day
• At the end of the month, provide the SHS kitchen with the snack menu containing the total number of snacks distributed
• Able to organize, manage, coordinate, implement and oversee snack program
• Able to maintain records
• Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports
• Exercise sound and independent judgement within general policy guidelines
• Establish and maintain working relationships with other staff

Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills

• High School diploma
• Knowledge of Food Safety preferred

Physical Requirements

• Mobility: Frequent walking, standing, and navigating stairs.
• Lifting/Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects ranging from 10 to 15 lbs.
• Physical Dexterity: Bending, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to assist students.
• Stationary Tasks: Remaining in a stationary position (sitting/standing) for long periods.
