Position Summary
The Afterschool Snack Program Coordinator is responsible for the distribution and service of nutritious snacks to high school students.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Pick up snacks from the Somerville High School kitchen
- Serve snacks to students
- Tally the total amount of snacks distributed to students each day
- At the end of the month, provide the SHS kitchen with the snack menu containing the total number of snacks distributed
- Able to organize, manage, coordinate, implement and oversee snack program
- Able to maintain records
- Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports
- Exercise sound and independent judgement within general policy guidelines
- Establish and maintain working relationships with other staff
Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills
- High School diploma
- Knowledge of Food Safety preferred
Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Frequent walking, standing, and navigating stairs.
- Lifting/Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects ranging from 10 to 15 lbs.
- Physical Dexterity: Bending, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to assist students.
- Stationary Tasks: Remaining in a stationary position (sitting/standing) for long periods.
