About the role

NHS Lothian is recruiting for a Deputy Charge Nurse position at DSU - Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of nurses, ensuring high-quality, compassionate, and safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of nurses to provide exceptional patient care
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursing practices

Requirements

• PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult)
• Experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation and standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
• Experience in a supervisory or management role

Pay
