About the role
The Psychology-led Staff Support service in NHS Dumfries and Galloway has received additional board funding for further posts, demonstrating NHSDG's commitment to staff wellbeing. This post will be instrumental in improving the wellbeing of the workforce.
Responsibilities
- Offer evidence-based and effective assessment, formulation and psychological therapies.
- Work within the Department, which now has a complement of around 90 staff, with psychologists and psychological therapists in all major specialties.
- Take trainees from the Edinburgh Doctorate course and from the MSc course in Stirling/Dundee.
- Provide placements and supervision for trainee CBT and other psychological therapists.
- Benefit from dedicated CPD and supervision time.
Requirements
The post requires a strong background in psychology and relevant experience in providing psychological therapies. Experience in working with healthcare professionals and understanding the needs of a multidisciplinary team is essential.
Qualifications
- A relevant Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in providing psychological therapies.
- Experience in working with healthcare professionals and understanding the needs of a multidisciplinary team.
