About the role

The successful applicant will carry out fault finding and minor repairs on equipment and undertake duties such as medical gas cylinder changing, fire alarm testing and replacement break glasses.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding and minor repairs on equipment
• Undertake duties such as medical gas cylinder changing, fire alarm testing and replacement break glasses
• Operate mechanical and electrical machinery safely and effectively (including Boiler plant and chemical dosing plant)
• Show awareness of health & safety legislation and technical standards
• Facilitate independent travel between sites and wholesalers
• Operate computer based software, e.g. Boiler management systems
• Be flexible to work variations to the standard working week

Requirements

• Good verbal and nonverbal communication skills
• Ability to operate computer based software, e.g. Boiler management systems
• A flexible approach to work

Qualifications

An awareness of health & safety legislation and technical standards is essential, training will be provided.

Skills

• Safe operation of mechanical and electrical machinery
• Computer literacy, particularly with Boiler management systems
• Independent travel and logistics
• Flexibility to work varied shifts
