About the role

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) is a large teaching hospital with an established reputation for offering the best practice across a wide variety of specialist services.

We are seeking to recruit motivated Pharmacy Support Workers (PSW) to join our well-established pharmacy team. Our team consists of pharmacy technicians, trainee pharmacy technicians, and PSWs, all working together to ensure the safe provision of medicines across the site.

Your role will include assisting in the preparation and distribution of medicines and stock management. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop the necessary skills.

About you

  • Enthusiastic and hardworking.
  • Have National 4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Have completed SCQF Level 6 units relevant to post within 12 months following probationary period.
  • Have completed Healthcare Support Workers induction standards within 12 months following probationary period.
  • Have prior experience within healthcare/pharmacy environment or stock management (beneficial but not essential).
  • A diligent, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
