About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy expanding Ambulatory Care team at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer. The successful candidate will work as part of the nurse-led unit with a fast turnover of patients undergoing a variety of treatments and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and work with the established ACU team in delivering various patient care procedures including phlebotomy, cannulation, ECG and cardiac monitor fitting both within the Ambulatory care unit and the Galloway Community Hospital as a whole.
  • Work well as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
  • Show excellent communication skills and have good organisational skills.
  • Be able to work well both individually and as part of a team and effectively deal with ever-changing priorities in their workload.
  • Include shift work to meet the needs of the service and provide an interesting and challenging opportunity to undertake enhanced skills and develop professionally.
