About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy expanding Ambulatory Care team at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer. The successful candidate will work as part of the nurse-led unit, assisting and working with the established ACU team in delivering various patient care procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist and work with the established ACU team in delivering various patient care procedures including phlebotomy, cannulation, ECG and cardiac monitor fitting both within the Ambulatory care unit and the Galloway Community Hospital as a whole.
- Work well as part of the team, demonstrating flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
- Show good organisational skills and be able to work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Deal effectively with ever-changing priorities in the workload.
- Engage in shift work to meet the needs of the service and develop professionally.
Requirements
The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of the service. They would require to have good organisational skills, be able to work well both individually and as part of a team and have the ability to effectively deal with ever changing priorities in their workload.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required, but a willingness to learn and develop new skills is essential.
