About the Role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs, focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Pay

$21–$23 per hour (based on education and experience).

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring the environment, addressing potential hazards, and following all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.

California-Specific Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• In-person First Aid and CPR certification.
• Cleared tuberculosis test and health screening.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma or GED.
• Cleared LiveScan fingerprint background check.
• Completed 48 units at an institution of higher learning; OR obtained an Associate’s (or higher) degree; OR passed the District’s Instructional Assistant written examination.
