About the role
HireOne Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team in Suitland, MD.
Responsibilities
- Basic repairs (tighten hardware, patch small holes, hang shelves)
- Unclog sinks and toilets; identify and report leaks
- Replace light bulbs, reset breakers, and test smoke/CO detectors
- Change HVAC filters and clean vents
- Perform preventive cleaning to reduce mold, pests, and wear
- Safely use basic tools (screwdriver, wrench, pliers, hammer, drill)
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Know emergency shutoffs and follow basic home safety practices
Requirements
- 2 to 3+ years of maintenance experience, including apartment turnovers
- Preferred: HVAC experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check
