The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time Special Education (SPED) position at Kenneth site. This position is open for applications.

About the role

This position is for a SPED Moderate & Severe role. The position includes various opportunities for additional pay as outlined in the attached TK-12 Salary Schedule for the 2025-26 school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Collaborate with other special education staff, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• A valid California Teaching Credential.
• Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Advanced degree (master's or doctoral level) preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in using assistive technology.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
