25-26 North Campus Facility Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Facility Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the newly established Aug Prep North Campus. Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Manager, this position will contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters optimal learning conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues, supervisors, students, parents/guardians, and community members, maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships.
• Serve with a flexible, open heart that recognizes no duty is outside the scope of your role.
• Perform maintenance and repairs of the facility and its associated systems and equipment.
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge in problem-solving through general and preventative maintenance.
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge in various skills related to projects and maintenance (Drywall/Painting, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, etc.).

Requirements

• A GED or HS Diploma and a valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Strong working knowledge of building maintenance.
• Exceptional attention to detail, while still keeping the bigger picture in mind.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective skills in working with hand and power tools.
• Efficient and organized in prioritizing tasks.
• Active participation in a Christian church.
• A belief in the ability of every child and a commitment to ensure excellence for each student.
• Team player committed to the St. Augustine Preparatory mission and model.
