Position Overview
Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation can range from $364,895 - $770,253. All Professor Series — Specialized Health Science Scales — Health Sciences Compensation Plan set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position Description
The Department of Surgery in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for physicians in its various divisions. These openings will be at the level of Assistant, Associate and Clinical Professor, depending upon the candidate’s qualifications, and will be in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Surgical Divisions include the following: Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Colon and Rectal Surgery, Emergency General Surgery (EGS), Gastrointestinal Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Transplantation Surgery, Trauma Surgery, and Vascular Surgery.
Certification and Licenses
- M.D., M.D./Ph.D., board certification or eligibility in the specialty
- California medical license and DEA required
