Job Description

The 21st CCLC (We Are Community) Teacher position for the SY2026-27 academic year is designed for educators passionate about early childhood education. This role is part-time and will focus on grades PreK - 4.

About the Role

This teacher will contribute to the educational development of young learners, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to community-based learning programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Provide individualized attention to students to address their unique learning needs.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and community partners to enhance student learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records and report on student progress as required.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
• Experience working with children in the PreK - 4 grade range.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
