211-0417/26-2O Research Assistant in Quantum Optomechanics
Job Description
The successful applicant will carry out experimental and theoretical work on continuously monitored optomechanical systems, with a particular focus on mechanical parametric phenomena, such as squeezing. The work envisions applications of ultracoherent mechanical resonators in force and environment sensing.
Requirements
- Background in experimental and theoretical opto- and electromechanics
- Qualification in physics or related engineering disciplines
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Physics or related field
- Experience with optomechanical systems
- Strong theoretical and experimental skills
Skills
- Excellent programming skills (Python, C++ preferred)
- Good understanding of quantum mechanics and optomechanics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Schedule
The period of employment is 3,5 months until the end of the year. The position is open from September 15th 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
