Job Requirements

Carry out computational research in Molecular Physics on the development of quantum computing algorithm for the description of rotational state-to-state transitions during inelastic molecular collisions.

Write and test computer programs using Python, Qiskit and FORTRAN.

Conduct research with a growing degree of independence, work well with others in the lab.

Provide research summaries and reports weekly, meet regularly with PI to discuss next steps and expectations.

Qualifications

Solid grasp of the principles of Quantum Mechanics, Molecular Physics and Physical Chemistry.

A background in quantum information is preferable.

Ef fective communication and organizational skills are important to successfully carry out this position.

About the Role

This project-focused appointment in quantum computing will support the research program of PI: Dr. Dmitri Babikov. The project will focus on the development of a method for the modeling of quantum dynamics of molecular collision processes.
