Phillips 66’s Global Commercial Organization is a market-facing business focused on maximizing profitability by sourcing advantaged feedstocks to our refineries and optimizing assets through a global market presence. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, with offices in Calgary, London, and Singapore, the team operates across crude oil, refined products, renewable fuels, power, and natural gas to provide energy and improve lives worldwide. Commercial colleagues collaborate globally to gather market intelligence, manage risk, develop external relationships, and create innovative supply chain solutions, supported by integrated marine and surface transportation and logistics teams.

Commercial University New Hires will join the Phillips 66 Trader Development Program following onboarding through the KATALYST program. The Trader Development Program is a competitive learning journey designed for individuals aspiring to build a trading career at Phillips 66, emphasizing strategic thinking, global market interest, analytical ability, and performance under pressure.

Qualifications

Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent; or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or MBA
  • Graduation date prior to December 31, 2026 or May 31, 2027
  • Available to work at the Houston, TX headquarters

Preferred

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous internship or co-op participation in a related industry
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Python or related coding languages
  • Available to report on January 26, 2027 or July 13, 2027
