2027 Undergrad Product Development Engineering Intern/Co-op

About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Development engineering intern/co-op to join our team. You will support Product Development Engineers in characterization and build production test programs through parametric, data, and statistical analysis. Your work will help resolve production-related issues, improve efficiency, and ensure yield, coverage, and production ramp goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage, and meet target goals for production ramp
- Work with multi-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency
- Build and maintain technical documents
- Debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors
- Participate in product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a US-based university in an undergraduate degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics
- Coursework in computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, or computer architecture
Skills
- Experience with C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell script, Java, or similar programming languages
- Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT, SVN, CVS, or RCS
- Knowledge of XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban programming paradigms
- Experience with logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and debug tools

This role requires full-time work (40 hours a week) in either a hybrid or onsite work structure at our San Jose, CA or Santa Clara, CA locations.
