About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Development engineering intern/co-op to join our team. This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.

  • Spring/Summer Co-op: January 15, 2027 - August 13, 2027
  • Summer Internship (Semester Students): May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027
  • Summer Internship (Quarter Students): June 21, 2027 - September 10, 2027
  • Summer/Fall Co-op (Semester Students): May 24, 2027 - December 10, 2027
  • Summer/Fall Co-op (Quarter Students): June 21, 2027 - December 10, 2027

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Development Engineers in characterization and build production test programs through parametric, data, and statistical analysis.
  • Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage, and meet target goals to initiate production ramp.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency.
  • Build and maintain technical documents, debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.
  • Participate in product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a US-based university in an Undergrad degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge or experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas):
    • C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell script, Java, or similar
    • GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS, or similar
    • XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban programming paradigms
    • Logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and debug tools
    • Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics
    • Coursework in computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, or computer architecture
