Schedule
This role requires full-time work (40 hours a week) in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
- Spring/Summer Co-op: January 15, 2027 - August 13, 2027
- Summer Internship (Semester Students): May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027
- Summer Internship (Quarter Students): June 21, 2027 - September 10, 2027
- Summer/Fall Co-op (Semester Students): May 24, 2027 - December 10, 2027
- Summer/Fall Co-op (Quarter Students): June 21, 2027 - December 10, 2027
Responsibilities
- Support Product Development Engineers in characterization and building production test programs through parametric, data, and statistical analysis.
- Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage, and meet target goals to initiate production ramp.
- Work with multi-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain technical documents, debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.
- Participate in product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a US-based university in a Master’s degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge or experience with any of the following technical skills or related areas:
- Programming languages: C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell script, Java, or similar.
- Version control systems: GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS, or similar.
- Programming paradigms: XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Debug tools: Logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes.
- Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics.
- Coursework in computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, or computer architecture.
