Schedule

This role requires full-time work (40 hours a week) in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the co-op/intern term.

Responsibilities

Support Product Development Engineers in characterization and build production test programs through parametric, data, and statistical analysis.
Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage, and meet target goals to initiate production ramp.
Work with multi-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency.
Build and maintain technical documents, debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.
Participate in product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a US-based university in an undergraduate degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge or experience with any of the following technical skills or related areas:
- Programming languages: C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell script, Java, or similar.
- Version control systems: GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS, or similar.
- Programming paradigms: XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Debug tools: Logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes.
- Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics.
- Relevant coursework: Computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, computer architecture.
