About the role

As an Intern, you’ll be treated just like our entry-level staff. You’ll help instill confidence in organizations by assuring their financial health, with the flexibility to craft business solutions beyond spreadsheets. This is a non-exempt position and may require work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. Some local, national, and occasional international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on projects related to cost segregation, fixed asset recovery periods, capitalization versus expense analysis, R&D tax credits, and domestic producer activities deduction.
  • Work directly with clients to identify and resolve issues as they emerge.
  • Maintain a current understanding of relevant code, regulation, and administrative pronouncements on tax incentives impacting clients.
  • Develop relationships with clients and staff, including involvement in networking and business development activities.
  • Assist clients to ensure proper documentation of credits and deductions in accordance with IRS regulations.
  • Deepen knowledge in tax and tax consulting through exposure to both service lines.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting; or Master's degree in accounting or tax.
  • Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
  • On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of obtaining your CPA license.

Pay

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is $33.00 - $36.00 per hour.

Schedule

This position follows a "Workplace for Your Day" model, striving for flexibility and balance while maintaining a principally in-person approach. Work hours may exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
