2027 Summer Intern: Test Engineering

About the role
This internship centers on Test Engineering: you will develop and run test scripts, evaluate product performance, and gain hands-on experience with Aclara products and New Product Development processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Apply classroom knowledge to on-the-job engineering tasks.
- Work on comprehensive, value-added projects in a professional team environment.
- Develop technical skills specific to your major.
- Build professional relationships and learn about other parts of the business.
- Deliver a final presentation to the local management team.
- Gain industry knowledge as it relates to Hubbell’s operations.
- Hone planning and organizational skills.
- Tackle challenging, robust projects that provide practical experience.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Support and assist co-workers as needed.
Requirements
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship period (May–August 2027).
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to the internship (required).
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (required).
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (preferred).
- Familiarity with relevant software and systems, including Python programming.
Pay
Hourly rates range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour ($46,800–$60,320 annualized equivalent), based on academic standing and expected graduation date.
