2027 Summer Intern - Technology Group - Sophomore
About the role
This ten-week sophomore internship offers undergraduate students the chance to work on meaningful technology projects while building professional skills and networks at a mission-driven institution. Interns are placed within one IT area—such as information security, data management, software development, business operations, or end user services—and collaborate with colleagues across the Bank. The program includes mentorship, learning events with senior leaders, and cohort-based activities designed to support long-term career growth.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and maintain code in languages such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, Scala, Python, or HTM/CSS
- Prepare, manage, and analyze data to support technology initiatives
- Assist with competitive analyses and research for technology teams
- Evaluate and document current and new technology architecture designs
- Implement and deploy applications across multiple environments
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in computer science, information systems, application development, or business technology
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Basic programming experience in one or more of: Java, JavaScript, SQL, Scala, Python, HTM/CSS
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to quickly assimilate new information and manage multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to work productively in both team and independent settings
Benefits
This is a paid internship. Regular wages for the 10-week program are paid semi-monthly and are calculated based on an annual salary of $65,600.
Schedule
Full-time onsite work in New York, with limited flexibility to work remotely as needed to support the mission.
