Graduate interns work in one specific business area or function for ten weeks, and have access to opportunities for collaboration with other students and employees from around the Bank. At the end of the program, students leave with strong skills, professional connections, and meaningful experiences that will support their long-term careers.

Responsibilities

As a Summer Associate in the Supervision Group, you will:

• Enhance business skills through critical financial analysis, formal presentations, research, and writing
• Contribute to assessments of the safety and soundness of domestic banking institutions and operations of foreign banking organizations
• Participate in periodic onsite evaluations and offsite financial analysis and surveillance
• Analyze issues and developments to identify emerging supervisory risks and develop domestic and international supervisory policy

Requirements

• Graduate students with demonstrated and applicable full-time work experience
• Demonstrated interest in economics, public policy, and/or finance
• Strong academic record

• Governance, Compliance & Policy: Compliance, legal, consumer protection
• Valued Industry Experience: Financial institutions (large banks, community banks, financial market infrastructure), Public sector/regulatory agencies, Consulting firms, Corporate sector (1–2 years preferred)

Benefits

This is a paid internship. Salary for the 10-week program is calculated based on an annual salary of $94,900, paid on a semi-monthly basis.

Schedule

The program runs for ten weeks during the summer.

This position requires access to confidential supervisory information (CSI) and/or Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) information. Access is limited to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, individuals who meet the definition of “protected individual” under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), and certain other nonimmigrants. All non-U.S. citizens authorized to access CSI and/or FOMC information must sign a declaration of intent to expeditiously become a lawful permanent resident and thereafter a U.S. citizen when eligible.
