About the role

The Hubbell Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of the business, and prepare for a rewarding career at Hubbell. This intern will support new product development and sustaining engineering projects by collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and other Hubbell business units.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business cases
  • Create engineering models and drawings
  • Support product testing and validation activities
  • Help ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and aligned with project objectives
  • Work on comprehensive, value-added projects
  • Work in teams and with colleagues in a professional environment
  • Develop technical skills specific to your major
  • Provide opportunities for professional development by building relationships and learning about other parts of the business
  • Present to the local management team at the end of the program
  • Gain knowledge of the industry as it pertains to the Hubbell business location
  • Gain experience in planning and organizational skills
  • Work on challenging robust projects that provide practical experience
  • Assist with process improvement
  • Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Provide support and assistance to co-workers as appropriate

Requirements

  • Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship program period (May–August 2027), pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to the internship
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Prior experience managing a collaborative project (work or school)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
  • Familiarity with relevant software and systems

Pay

Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour.
