Project Management Intern - Summer 2027

As a Project Manager Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will work closely with the project management team to support planning, execution, and monitoring of spaceflight projects. Interns collaborate directly with full‑time engineers on real, impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products and gaining end‑to‑end experience in autonomous robotic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules and timelines.
• Support project managers in tracking progress and ensuring milestones are met.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to gather and allocate requirements.
• Prepare and distribute project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and presentations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide administrative support.
• Help identify, track, and mitigate project risks.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives to enhance organizational practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills under pressure.
• Passion for space exploration.

Schedule

Internship runs from early June (June 7, 2027) to late August (August 20, 2027); start and end dates are flexible to accommodate school schedules. This is an in‑person role, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, located in Golden, Colorado.
