2027 Summer Food Production Intern

About the role

Over the course of 10-12 weeks, a Poultry Production Intern will work in Butterball's Huntsville food manufacturing plant located in Huntsville, Arkansas. You’ll dive into daily plant operations, tackle industry challenges, and contribute to process improvements. The program’s primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that align with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Master the ins and outs of food production.
• Collaborate with our team to optimize processes.
• Contribute to quality assurance and food safety.
• Develop your leadership skills by guiding and mentoring first‑line employees.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Agri‑Business, Animal Science, Food Science, Meat Science, Ag Leadership, or a related field with an expected graduation date of December 2027 through June 2029.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
• Open to relocating to Mount Olive, North Carolina if not in the area.
• Demonstrated participation in extracurricular activity.
• Demonstrated involvement on‑campus.
• Previous work experience of any kind preferred.
