About the role

Lincoln International is seeking Analyst Interns to join our rapidly growing Valuations & Opinions Group (VOG). This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a demanding, team-oriented environment while building analytical skills and finance & accounting acumen. The position is designed for self-motivated individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic and growing platform, with responsibilities that are often more entrepreneurial than those at other firms.

Responsibilities

• Support the Portfolio Valuation, Asset-backed Finance, or Transaction Opinion & Board Advisory teams.
• Construct and practice valuation, financial analyses, and case studies, including:
  • Guideline public companies analysis
  • Guideline precedent transactions analysis
  • Discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses using Lincoln International proprietary models
• Identify relevant comparable public companies and M&A transactions using tools such as S&P Capital IQ and Bloomberg, along with industry classification methods (e.g., Standard Industrial Classification).
• Research and provide information on:
  • General economic conditions
  • Industry-specific conditions and trends
  • Acquisitions and divestitures within specific industries
  • Investment attributes of publicly traded and privately held securities
• Participate in and shadow due diligence meetings, client communications, and responses to auditor questions regarding valuation analyses.
• Assist in preparing fee proposals, pitch materials, and written valuation reports for clients.
• Maintain proprietary valuation databases.
• Coordinate recurring valuation projects with team members across multiple geographies.
• Support senior members of the Valuations & Opinions Group.
• Perform ad-hoc research, analytics, and support for the VOG team as required.

Requirements

• Working towards a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with significant coursework completed in these areas.
• Strong analytic foundation with a solid understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis).
• Ability to analyze financial statements, including working through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations.
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Assertive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Must be eligible to begin working full-time starting Summer 2028.
• Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Schedule

This internship will run from May 17, 2027, to July 23, 2027, and will be in-person at our Dallas, New York, or Atlanta offices. Lincoln International follows a hybrid work structure, with employees working in the office Monday through Thursday and having the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $95,000 on an annual basis. This range is applicable for jobs performed in New York, California, and Illinois. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
