Analyst Intern - Summer 2027
Rystad Energy is an independent energy research and business intelligence company providing data, analytics, and consulting services across global energy markets. The analyst department consists of divisions covering Renewable and Power, Energy Systems, Oil and Gas, Commodity Markets, and Energy Services.
About the role
We are looking for motivated candidates with a strong academic track record and an analytical mindset to fulfill the growing demand of our research. Analysts are the backbone of the company, responsible for our databases and reports used by clients worldwide. Interns will help gather, analyze, and present research across the department.
As an intern, you will immediately take part in value-adding analysis. Under supervision, you will manage your own work streams, including gathering, interpreting, and updating market-leading databases, as well as modeling and report writing. A typical internship lasts 12 weeks during June to August.
Responsibilities
- Gather, interpret, and update market-leading energy databases
- Perform modeling and report writing
- Contribute to value-adding analysis under supervision
- Support research across Renewable and Power, Energy Systems, Oil and Gas, Commodity Markets, and Energy Services divisions
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree
- Strong academic track record in a relevant field (engineering, finance, economics, etc.)
- Proven analytical, quantitative, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in learning about the energy industry and the energy transition
