2027 Summer Analyst – Global Markets Credit (New York City)

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality credit submissions relating to business proposals
- Conduct appropriate market, industry and client credit analysis with clearly articulated rationale for credit decisions and borrower risk ratings
- Work closely with other product groups, including TDS Treasury Sales and Trading, TD Securities Cash Management, TDS Trade Finance and other business areas of TD to ensure that credit needs are being met
- Ongoing monitoring of counterparty performance and credit exposures, including compliance with authorized credit limits and terms, as well as reporting requirements
- Identify potential problems requiring attention and recommend appropriate actions to best manage the risks in deteriorating credit situations
- Contribute to a strong credit culture by proactively raising issues on credit, reputational and operational risks
- Assess the balance of risk and return as part of the credit underwriting process
Qualifications
- Pursuing a four-year university or college degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
- Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
- All majors welcome, but significant coursework in a business-related field is required
- Results driven, proven academic excellence and strong interpersonal skills
- High ethical and professional standards
- Strong financial/analytical/technical skills; knowledge of MS Excel preferred
- Proactive and highly motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Successful candidates must have the capacity to become adept at financial modeling
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated leadership (e.g., sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, and philanthropy)
Pay
The expected annual base salary is $110,000, pro-rated for the length of the summer internship. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education as well as market factors.
Schedule
This is a ten-week program running from early June to mid-August in person in our offices in New York City.
