2027 Structured Credit Analyst Program (Intern Conversion)

About the role
Truist Bank's Equipment Finance Analyst Program includes up to seven weeks of classroom instruction as part of the Securities Analyst program training. This training covers capital markets, products and services, accounting, corporate finance, systems, and financial modeling to equip Analysts with essential tools for success.
After training, Analysts will be placed within one of three Structured Credit Products groups: Asset Based Lending, Equipment Finance, or Working Capital Solutions. They will support senior investment banking professionals in Truist’s Structured Credit Organization (SCO), which delivers customized financing solutions combining structuring expertise, industry insights, and distribution capabilities.
Analysts will be assigned to the Equipment Finance Group (EFG) with opportunities to interact with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank.
Responsibilities
- Assist with origination, structuring, underwriting, and distribution of Equipment Finance lease and loan transactions, collaborating with EF Originations, Structuring, and Capital Markets teams.
- Work with Functional/Matrix partners in Credit Risk, Asset Management, and Operations to process transactions and manage the client experience.
- Support Origination, Structuring, and Capital Markets teams on new business development, market analysis, due diligence, structuring, and execution.
- Prepare client pitch materials, proposals, term sheets, transaction screens/LTRs, and Capital Markets CIMs.
- Perform pricing runs, modeling, return analysis, and comparable transaction/relative value analysis.
Requirements
- Completed BA/BS degree with a scheduled graduation of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
- Overall GPA of 3.0.
- Proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Solid leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Superior written and oral communication skills with strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Business or STEM major.
- Strong interest in finance and investment banking.
- Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework.
- High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement.
- Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program.

Pay
Starting salary for this position is $100,000.
