About the role

The Information Technology Professional Development Program (ITPDP) at Abbott is a two-year rotational development program designed to provide recent college graduates with foundational knowledge to succeed in key IT-related positions at Abbott.

Responsibilities

• Matched to assignments aligned to business opportunities that align with individual interests, talents, and development needs.
• Work with an assignment manager who oversees responsibilities during rotations.
• Overall management of the ITPDP employee, overseeing progress and assisting with job placement after completion of the program.

Requirements

• Graduate with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology or related disciplines.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to relocate to take a non-Lake County, IL rotation and be open to a non-Lake County, IL post-program position if offsite is available.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Preferred coursework includes programming, software development, SDLC including DevOps, Agile, Iterative and Incrementation Concepts, Internet of Things, system and network administration, cloud development, data analysis, data science, math, statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, security, device protection, digital user interface (UI), user experience (UX), customer experience (CX), project management, and business domains.
• Proven analysis, creative problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Solid planning and organizational skills.
• Extracurricular activities demonstrating IT-related and/or leadership capabilities.
• Up to two internships and/or up to two years of IT-related work experience.

Benefits

Base pay for this position ranges from $50,700.00 to $101,300.00, depending on location.
