2027 Internship - Sensor and Signal Processing

About the role

We are seeking an intern to help develop algorithms and assess the performance of the next generation of sensors for land, air and sea-launched interceptors. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of powerful sensor algorithms and tackle vital missile defense challenges in a collaborative environment that values creativity and sophisticated solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trade studies and analyze the performance of sophisticated sensor systems and algorithms
  • Research concepts and develop simulations and algorithms related to signal propagation, signal detection, and target classification for a variety of air- and space-borne sensor systems
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of experts to solve difficult problems in air and missile defense

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate’s degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other related fields
  • Passion for sensors and signal and image processing algorithms
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: MATLAB, C++, or Python
  • Knowledgeable in one or more of the following: simulating or analyzing electromagnetic signals, environments, or sensors; signal or image processing; machine learning; object tracking or classification
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance; eligibility includes U.S. citizenship
